Privacy Policy
What we collect
PicConv does not upload, store or transmit the files you convert. All processing happens locally in your browser, so we never see, copy or retain your documents or images.
We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate page statistics. We also display advertising through Google AdSense, which may set cookies and use device identifiers to show and measure ads. You can control personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices.
Advertising and cookies
This site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, using a Google-certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the consent link in the page footer.
Advertising partners never receive the files you convert: those are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded.
Passwords and encrypted documents
Our PDF password tools encrypt and decrypt documents entirely in your browser. The password you type is used only in local memory for that single operation: it is never transmitted, logged or stored, and it disappears when you close or reload the page.
Because of that design we cannot recover a password you forget, and we cannot unlock a document for you. If you lose the password of a file you encrypted here, nobody — including us — can open it. Store passwords in a password manager before closing the page.
Encryption uses the AES-256 standard security handler built on your browser's Web Crypto API, so the cryptographic primitives come from your own device rather than from code written by us.
Local storage
We store your language preference in your browser local storage. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
Third-party libraries
This site loads open-source JavaScript libraries (PDF.js, JSZip, docx, PptxGenJS, SheetJS and similar) from public CDNs to provide conversion functionality. These CDNs may log standard request metadata (IP address, request time) under their own privacy policies.
